Vegan Philly Cheese Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Trader Joe’s seitan sliced thin
  • 2 table spoons of olive oil
  • 1 large sweet onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3-4 vegan sub sandwich rolls
  • Vegan Cheese Sauce:
    • 1 cup vegan cheese shreds
      1/2 cup of soy milk
      1 tsp garlic powder
      1/2 tsp chili powder
      1/2 tsp paprika
      1/2 tsp black pepper
      1 tbs dijon mustard
      1/4 cup of nutritional yeast flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat soy milk, garlic power, cheese shreds, chili powder, paprika, pepper, nutritional yeast and mustard in a medium or large saucepan on medium hear.
    1. Stir frequently until all ingredients are melted together.
  2. Open rolls and toast in oven until lightly browned
  3. Sauté belle peppers and onions for 4-7 minutes
  4. Add seitan sauce and mix with peppers and onions for 3-5 minutes
  5. Spread cheese sauce on one side of the sandwich roll
  6. Add seitan and sautéed onion and bell peppers
  7. Eat it all gone.
